I was sure that in one of the reviews of office/excel 2007 there was a
function that allowed you to count the number of cells of a particular colour
in a column. Can any one help where this function is in excel 2007.
Thanks

I don't think there is a facility to count coloured cells, but the filter
has an option to filter by cell colour, and then you can use the SUBTOTAL
function to count the visible cells, like so =SUBTOTAL(3,A2:A20)
