Concatenation and Copy Down

If in Cell A1, I have the word:  "LOVE", what is the best way to copy down
through cell A1000...

LOVE2
LOVE3
LOVE4
...
...
etc.
LOVE1000

Key in
Love2
Into A2, click on the fill handle, and simply drag down.

Enter LOVE1 in A1 then drag down on the fill handle then delete the 1 cell
