After entering data in a cell and tabbing to the adjacent cell, it doesn't go
to the adjacent cell it jumps from A to P which isn't even a part of my
spreadsheet. What do I do to change this? Thanks for your help.

From the Menu Bar:
<Tools> <Options> <Transition> tab,

Tools>Options>Transition.
Uncheck the Transition Navigation Keys option.
