Selecting "New message" makes Outlook hang: "Not responding"

When I want to create a new message, Outlook (2003, SP2) comes in a Not
Responding state.
I tried the Detect and Repair option, but the problem still exists.

This happened after I did some housekeeping in some directories. Probably to
much???

Why not put the files back that you removed to see if that helps.

Not possible, deleted files permanently
