What negative effect will removing this add-in have? It has speeded the system up massively but I guess i have stripped a layer of virus defense away. I guess it is scanning emails before they are opened? I guess if it opend my PC AV will capture it?? Means that Symantec Antivirus cannot scan e-mails as they are downloaded. If you get into the habit of saving attachments to the file system and then opening, then yes, your up-to-date AV solution has an excellent chance of catching it. > What negative effect will removing this add-in have?
