Outlook 2007 beta2 - can't import into other client

A couple of quick questions. First, I goofed and thought my Beta 2 went to
the end of March but it expired this morning 3/31 just as I was settling down
to deal with it (surprise!).

Now the questions:
1) I am trying to import the mail into another program, at the moment
Thunderbird, but am having problems. It might be T'bird (had problems before)
but I am worried that MSO 2007 beta2 is "closed" to export. Is that right?
Can it be unlocked?

2) Another option might be to get a valid copy of MSO 2007 and pick up the
mail on that. HOWEVER, instructions for the trial version say one must
uninstall the beta first, which would erase the mail. Or is there a way
around this?

TAI for any info / instructions.

Removing the beta won't affect your data (email in this case). Just get
rid off it.
