Group E-mail merge in Outlook 2007

I have a contact database of 130 sales people across the country.  I update
them with an email merge weekly.  My ISP has no problems with this procedure
as I have been doing it for years.  I just upgraded to Outlook 2007 on my new
Vista machine and outlook is working like a champ.

I select the contacts that I want to email, Hit mail merge, use existing or
create new document (neither way works), compose the document, hit "finish
merge" do the selections there and type in a subject line and it begins the
merge.  I then get a warning box with a countdown that "an application is
trying to send email on my behalf" and selections of "OK" or "Cancel" come
up.  This is ok except that it does it for EACH of the 130 people I am
sending to and honestly takes up a LOT of time.

I had the same issue in Outlook 2003 and found a Microsoft registry upgrade
that took care of the problem.  I can't remember where I fount that upgrade
and it does not work on 2007 as I mistakenly ran it on 2007.

1. where is the "patch" or edit for 2007?
2. What should I do about running the 2003 patch on 2007 product?

Thanks in advance!
Cecil

You need to choose HTML for merge message format if you want to avoid those prompts.

There is no such registry key to suppress this behavior. Most likely you've
edited a registry key to disable the integration of a certain add-in like
for instance the Adobe Toolbar.

FYI;
The issue is caused by an add-in not securely sending instructions to
Outlook. Either disable this add-in or ask contact the vendor of that add-in
for an update; it has been over 6 years since this security feature has been
first introduced.

There is more to this story than you have told us. Outlook 2007 will not do
this. No version of Outlook has done this since Outlook 2002 as long as HTML
is your message format (which it is by default). You have made some other
changes or used some other add-in to trigger the security prompt.

Thank you for your responses!

Since I recieved these responses I did do a emailing to my people in HTML
and that worked but is it possible to do this same thin as a plain text email?

No. That will trigger the security prompt.

Ok

Then is there a registry patch for that like there was in previous versions?

There has never been such a registry patch for mail merges.
