I have an 18MB message stuck in my outbox, that I can't get rid of.  I have
tried all 4 ways listed on the mentioned web page
(http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/messagestuckinoutbox.htm), and still the
message still remains in my outbox.  Can anyone help me?

Try this to see if it helps: Open Outlook with the /safe switch (the
instructions are located here
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/commandlineswitches.htm) and delete the
email in the Outbox. You may have to open the email, close it, and then
delete it or highlight the email and delete it.  Let me know if this helps or
not, please post back.
Note I will be unavailable on Wednesday.

The exe file is named outlook.exe-0cc1c5e5.pf, so everytime I try to open it,
I get an error code saying that windows can't open a "pf" file.  The folder
that it is in is "C:\windows\prefetch", and that's it, is that right?

why are you trying to open that file? It's an installation file, not outlook
or anything you'd need to touch.

if you are typing to use a command line switch, see
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/switches.htm

Were you able to successfully start Outlook with the /safe switch?
Start > Run > outlook.exe/safe <enter>

"pf" file.

Windows cannot open that file. Diane explained to you what the pf file was.
You need to open the Outlook.exe file. My last post gave you the steps to
follow:

Start > Run > type in: outlook.exe /safe

Then try to delete the file in your Outbox.

Let me know what happens.
