couple of problems ;-
1. I can't get it to register Outlook as default e-mail handler
2. I can recieve e-mails but cannot reply or send. A message comes up
"cannot find wab.dll"

Hi nc,

a.) Outlook 2000 is unsupported on Vista.

b.) If you realy want to install Outlook 2000 on Vista i mean, it must be
installed in IMO mode.

c.) problem: "outlook cannot find wab dll address book"

solution : run regedit go to HKEY local machine -> software -> microsoft ->
WAB -> DLLpath
place the path correct : "c:\program files\common files\system\wab32.dll"

found on this site:
http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=555545

Use it, but on your own risk.

Good luck.

b) Other way around: IMO will always be problematic. Corp/Workgroup works
better.

Hi Russ,

thank you for your support information.

I missunderstood your posting about the wab.dll:
http://www.mcse.ms/message2460533.html

Especially the sentence: "Not compatible, especially if you are using IMO
mode."

After the posting of Diane, I checked the website and your posting again and
I noticed my "error".

Thanks and have a nice weekend.

see

and

http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/vista_wab.htm if you insist on using
Internet mode. Corp mode will work better.
