I have a data file that is listed under "all mail folders" but not in Outlook
Data Files.  When I right click on it, properties & rename are grayed out.
clicking on it gets the error message "the set of folders could not be
opened." I tried reinstalling outlook, and ran scanpst.exe.

Any suggestions to remove the corrupted data file? or how to reinstall with
out Outlook loading this file?

Create a new mail profile and configure it to use your good .pst file.
