How do I delete a read receipt, mistakenly sent by me?

I mistakenly clicked yes on a read receipt, not realising that I cannot send
messages through that email account. Now I have this constant problem of the
Outlook Send Receive Progress popping up since the message has not yet been
sent. My question is how can I delete the read receipt, so that the progress
window doesn't pop up every minute?

Go to the Outbox folder, highlight the message and press the Delete key
on your keyboard. If that doesn't work, take Outlook offline first and
then delete the message (File - Work Offline).

The problem here is that you probably can't see the read receipt in order to
delete it. The following link should get you everything you need in order to
delete the read receipt:
