lost a folder within my pst-outlook 2007

I have looked everywhere, and have even checked to see if my pst was corrupt,
and that large folder deleted somehow, but to no avail.  Any tips anyone
has--this folder was quite large and important

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.  All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.  

After furious head scratching, mm asked:

That would have been good at the time, but that was several days ago....
