Remove an old address from the auto look up in the address bar?

When you type into the address bar in an email it brings up all previously
used address's starting with that letter etc that are not part of your
contacts.  How do I removed the old or no longer required address's from this
othwise usefull function?

When the list pops-up highlight the name by using your aroow keys and press
DELETE on your keyboard.
