I had un-installed and re-installed MS Office XP 2002. When I opened up
Outlook a little window appeared and asked me to enter my name. I had thought
this was a spam window and I entered a completely different name. Every time
I open Outlook it says the product is registered under the false name I
provided. Is there any way I can rectify this error without having to
un-install and re-install Office XP yet again?

Uninstall and reinstall is probably your safest bet without accessing
registry entries.
