I just installed outlook 2007 and had some issues as I did not uninstall
Outlook 2003 first. so I uninstalled 07 then 03 and reinstalled 07.
Now I get an message that says
"unable to open default email folders. could not open the item try again"
then after I hit "ok" i go to a box that says
"would you like to open your default file system folder instead?"
I click yes and then get
"runtime error! Program C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~4\Office10\outlook.exe

Any suggestions would be of great help

Try recreating your mail profile... Control Panel > Mail etc.

Can't promise it will work, but it's a sensible place to start.

Use the Mail applet in Control Panel to add your PST to the mail profile.

Office10?  That's Outlook 2002.  You didn't mention that.
