this is message copied from another user at it was my exact question.

my problem is that is says to use the "account" drop down next to the send
button, but I do not have this button.

How to I activate it? I have this problem on 2 different computers. I have
Outlook 2003 on one and 2007 on another.

I read somewhere that it said I cannot have word as my email editor but that
option is not checked off in the mail format tab

There's a dropdown arrow next to the Send button, choose it and choose which
account to send from. In Outlook 2003, the button is NEXT to the Send button
and reads "Accounts".
