I hope I'm putting this in the right place. I've always used OE in the past,
until a month ago when I installed and began using Outlook. I wanted to go
back to Outlook Express so I transferred my emails back again. I never
touched any settings. Now my Outlook Express can retrieve emails from the
server, but I get this message:
"An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.iboats.com', Server:
'mail.iboats.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800C0133"
I am able so send messages, however... I've looked everywhere for help.
I've tried renaming the folders.dbx to folders.old like I've seen suggested
but that hasn't worked. Any help???

Common causes of connection problems include firewall settings or the use of
anti-virus message scan. As a first step disable A-V message scan. The PC
will still be
protected since the real time scan will find any viruses. It is sometimes
necessary to re-enter account information (server names, user name and
password--one, some or all).
For expert Outlook Express advice, ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup.
Since OE is part of Internet Explorer, the Microsoft Office newsgroup isn't
so experienced with your mail client.

(You didn't state what version of OE you're using, so you'll have to choose
from there)
