I want to print mailing labels from a category...say for instance....all

thanks!

Select all the contacts (the By Category view is helpful), then choose Tools | Mail Merge and follow the prompts.

I made it thru the prompts and Word popped up with an outline of the labels
but the data is not being inputed to the form.  Did I miss somthing?

Did you miss the "Update All Labels" step? For a complete step-by-step walkthrough for Outlook 2003, see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HP051871341033.aspx?pid=CH060832671033. Skip the part about selecting recipients, because if you start the merge from Outlook, the recipients will already be selected.
