I'm trying to sync my folder list in Outlook with my web based IMAP account,
but I keep getting this message. Outlook is most certainly on line when this
happens. Please help.

How do you know Outlook is online or offline?  Did you check?  If so,
where do you check?  Just because Outlook is loaded doesn't mean it is
online.

Outlook itself is sending the message. Sorry for not being more clear.

Via a popup alert window?  Have you checked if Outlook is actually
online?  You did not mention which version of Outlook you are using.
I'm using OL2002, and the 'File -> Work Offline' menu indicates if
Outlook is offline or not.  If it is checked, Outlook is in offline
mode.

Have you applied the latest service pack for MS Office?
