AFAIK, you cannot import DLs (groups as you say) into Outlook. They must be imported as individual addresses and then the DL must be rebuilt.
Using Categories is simpler and more robust.

Once you have the contacts addresses in Outlook, assign each one a category, for instance "Office team" for your office team. When you need to send an email to your team, sort your contacts by category, select all of your Office Team contact and select "Actions->new message" - much more robust since the members can be in several categories.
