Unfortunately, the "Active Tasks for Selected Days" view that existed in the
TaskPad in Outlook 2003 and earlier does not exist in the new Outlook 2007
ToDo Bar. You might be able to create a custom view that does something
close to what you want, but I can't tell you any exact settings to
use...you'd have to do it by trial and error.

Ouch... I used that a lot (maybe says something about my ability to complete
task on schedule :o)
From Custom View I used the advanced tab in the filter setting and am close...
I can get it to show due dates on or before xxx...
xxx being today, tomorrow, or ???...
it is not a drop down box so I have to know the value...
and I do not know if there is a value for "selected date", or "selected day",
or "select date", etc...
I did find out that "day" is treated the same as "tomorrow", showing tasks due
through tomorrow.
Anyway, thank you for the info, at least I know not to look elsewhere for
settings.
Is there a forum to request the function be put back?

On the Advanced tab, you would choose Due Date as the field, and then "today"
is in the Condition dropdown box. You wouldn't need to enter a value.
If you access this group through the Office website at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx, when you click
the down arrow next to the New button, you will see an option for "Suggestion
to Microsoft". You can use that to suggest they bring back Active Tasks for
Selected Days. You are not the only one who misses it!

Thank you, suggestion made at discussion group.
The filter solution you suggested ("due date" > "today") works great, but
doesn't show past due tasks.
I found "due date" > "on or before" > "today" shows tasks due today and tasks
past due (just in-case).
If there were a variable to replace "today" that pinged on the selected date,
my issue would be solved.

If you group the ToDo Bar's task list by "Arranged by due date", though, the
"Today" group should show any task due "today" plus any task that is past its
due date but not completed...but it won't jump to the date you select on the
calendar.
