I am closing an account an opening another and wish to transfer my address
book either to excel or word to copy later into my email account.  How do I
copy or print the list?

How about you tell the whole story and let someone here provide the best
solution.

Version of Outlook Currently and version you'll have on the new computer.

If both PCs don't have Outlook, what do they have?

Do you intend to use Outlook on that other machine?
If so, you'll want to export your Contacts via file | Import and Export |
Export to file .. choose to export your Contacts folder as a PST file then
open it in Outlook and copy the Contacts over.
You have many export options there. Use CSV for other email clients.

Wool Guy,
If you are just changing ISP's and still using same PC and Outlook, you
should not have to do anything with the address book in Outlook. You will
just need to add the new email acct that new ISP gives you. And then delete
the old email acct when the transition is completed. You may want to send
out a email message to the people currently in your address book notifying
of the change of address.

If you want to transfer a webmail based address book, you will need to logon
through the webmail interface, and following to instructions to save the
address book to Outlook, usually to a *.CSV file.
