When I have Outlook open, it creates an "outlook calendar" and an "outlook
contact" folder inside other folders that I have open.

Do you mean that Outlook creates Calendar and Contact folders in EVERY
SINGLE Outlook folder, or just in the various personal folders you have
opened? If the latter, that's perfectly normal.

Every message store gets the Contacts and Calendar folders created.
That's part of the default setup.

"Other folders that I have open".  I'm assuming that you mean you have
other .pst files opened in Outlook to display those message stores, and
"folder" is really the root node of that message store.

If I got it wrong, detail what you mean by "open other folders".
