I have Outlook 2002 with SP3 installed on Windows XP with SP2 and connected
to Exchange server.
When I tried to add phone no to "Business", and tab to "Home"...etc, it will
response slowly but does not hang up.
I tried on other PC with same system and hardware, haven't got above symptom.
And I also tried to create a new email profile without any personal folder
or personal address book, still response slow.
How do I troubleshoot this issue? I have no idea. And I don't want to
reinstall office.

Did you recently make any changes to affected system in regards to the modem
or other telephony related equipment? It's a long shot but sometimes phone
number trouble is related to that sort of thing

Thanks for reply.
Oh, ActiveSync is installed. Maybe mobile modem is installed also. I will
try to remove the modem driver.

It is TAPI permission problem. Don't know why user lost the permission of
Telephony service. I need to use "security configuration and template" to
grant permission on that service.
