What can I do.

Are you using Rich Text Format as your default? Switch to plain text or HTML.

I have changed everything to plain text even everyone in my address book. I
have also tried HTML.  I still get emails back stating they cant open the
winmail.dat.

I know outlook works for most people. I need it for my PDA.  I have even
reformated my computer trying to stop dat. files for sending in place of what
I wanted to send.

Normally, winmail.dat is received by non-Outlook users. Rich text format is
specific to Outlook and Outlook Express, so those recipients who use other
email clients have difficulty reading it hence the attachment. I've not heard
of it being associated with any other reason but let me do some research to
see if I can duplicate the problem or find further information for you.

Actually, Rich Text in Outlook Express isn't the same thing as Rich Text in
Outlook.  In OE, Rich Text means HTML.

And what does this "everything" entail?
