When I try to minimize Outlook it closes it. It doesn't matter whether I
minimize it by a right click of the mouse or at the top of the open window.
Ideas on what to look at to correct this? Thanks.

Are you sure it closes and not just minimizes to the Notification Area
instead? If you see an Outlook icon there double click it to restore to
normal mode. You can disable this behavior by right clicking the Outlook
icon.
