When I try to move a message from my inbox to another folder (drag and drop
or move command) Outlook closes. Detect and Repair (keeping customized
settings) claims to have worked.

Does anyone have any ideas? Re-installation would be a problem as Office was
preloaded and I do not have the disks.

Thanks

What is being logged to Event Viewer regarding this?
Start-> Run; eventvwr.exe
Check the Application Log for error recorded by Outlook.
