I am having problem on one of the pc in my company....when an email is recieved having attachment of word document...when the user double clicks on attachment to open ...then the attachment is opened fine but its automatically minimized or goes on the back...and the original outlook message comes up...and it takes abt 20 to 30 secs to load and then original mail message comes up and the attachment which was opened goes in background...i tried deleting the user profile and logging in on that pc with a different user but its happening on every user...Please can someone help me figuring out what exactly the problem is? Cheers! Not an Outlook issue. Most likely the delay is caused by your virus scanner that has Outlook and/or Office integration and does a scan when saving the doc-file and when opening. Disable this integration and see if the delay is gone. Thanks alot Roady it worked and seems to be working fine now. however, i am using symantec antivirus and currently i stopped the services but i have to start it and if i start it it will start doing it again....any suggestions?
