Was using Office Pro 03, that included outlook express, which I only used for
Microsoft newsgroups.
1) are all microsoft newsgroups available via IE now? I only see retail
product newsgroups (like Outlook, Word, etc.), and I need access to Visual
Studio, SQL, etc. newsgroups, but I like the IE format better. If they are
all available, how do I find them?
2) Using Windowx XP, I signed up for Windows Live Mail, which, without my
knowledge, uninstalled outlook when it installed (since it handles
newsgroups), but it requires a hotmail account. The software was a
nightmare, so I dumped it. But I am now without Outlook express and access
to the newsgroups above. Is there an Outlook Express 07 or where do I
download the latest?
3) I have upgraded to Office Enterprices 07, which does not seem to support
newsgroups. I have seen in another post links to products that allow 07 to
access newsgroups. Are they good or is it bet to go back to outlook express?
Thanks
Bob

You are really mixing things up here...

Not true; Outlook Express ships with Windows XP. Microsoft Office Outlook
ships with Outlook. These are 2 separate applications that can coexist on a
single machine. Also note that Outlook doesn't provide newsgroup access; OE
does.
1) http://www.microsoft.com/communities/products/default.mspx
2) Outlook Express hasn't been removed from your system but Windows Live
Mail replaced the shortcuts. Uninstall Windows Live Mail, if the shortcuts
don't come back recreate them. You can find the executable here;
C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe
3) As I said above; Outlook itself doesn't provide newsgroup access.
Personally I use Windows Live Mail and I used Outlook Express before that.
