I have Office 2003 installed on my XP Pro laptop. Today I bought and
installed an upgrade to PowerPoint 2007. When that install was done, I was
prompted to get updates which included Office 2007 Security Updates. The only
2007 program I have is the just-installed PowerPoint 2007. Now even though
the email junk filter is set to High, Outlook 2003 isn't filtering any junk
email. It all stays in the Inbox.
Any help in tracking this down and fixing it would be great.

I figured out my own solution. I deleted the normal.dot file and a fresh one
was created the next time Word was started. When Outlook was started, the
junk filter started sending items to the Junk E-Mail folder again. This has
worked on two different machines that have had the same upgrade loaded on
them.

I have the same problem, but for Visio 2007 and Outlook 2003. The problems
occur if you have office 2003 and 2007 in same computer. I use to change
OWSSUPP.DLL in folder …Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\ from version
12 to version 11 (what is possible to copy from … Microsoft Office\Office11
folder). Junk mail is working but I have problems now whit opening documents
from Microsoft SharePoint Server. At the end I make a .bat file what I use
for changing the version for owssupp.dll. Sometime is needed to change and
the version for OWSCLT.DLL for Office 12 folder.
