i just installed office 2007 and my reading pane sometimes will show the
emails and then other times it wont.  i did a search and saw someone post
something about disabling AVG.  my question is, first what is AVG and how do
i disable and second, shouldnt there be a fix for this issue by now.  thank
you.  sorry if its a repeat question - i am a fairly new user and have tried
to search but cant figure it out.

AVG is an antivirus application from a company named Grisoft.  You would
know if you have it, since you would have had to install it.

Can you describe the differences between what will disoplay and what won't?
