Every time I open Outlook an error message appears 'Microsoft Outlook has a
problem and needs to close'.

The error signature is:

AppName: outlook.exe      AppVer: 11.0.8118.0     AppStamp:456628bf
ModName: msmapi32.dll      ModVer: 11.0.8002.0      ModStamp:4373069d
fDebug: 0       Offset: 0001481b

What can I do to fix this?

Have you tried creating a fresh profile here: Control Panel > Mail applet?

Thks. I deleted the old profile in case it was corrupted but a new profile
did not fix the problem.

Any other suggestions? I cannot access any Outlook data at present and am
using Outlook Express as a stand in.
