I have Vista and Office 2007.  With Windows Mail, I can embed a sound that
plays immediately whenever the recipient views my message, via
Format/Background/Sounds.  But I can't do this in Outlook.  Or can I?

Thanks for the assistance!  The instructions at your linked site looked
perfect.  But they didn't work...maybe because I'm on Outlook 2007 in Vista.
I didn't get the set-Word option.  And when I clicked Toolbars/Web, no window
popped up.

Katelyn, did this work for you?

Brian, many thanks for the suggestion anyway.  If you have any ideas about
how I can get around the lack of Outlook responsiveness, I'd love to know.

Try writing to the page's author or see if he'll respond in this thread.  He
does read these groups.

Thanks.  I did.  He said that Microsoft took that capability out of Outlook
2007, and he thanked me for reminding him to change his page.  Just one more
reason to yearn for the good ole days of Office 2003 in XP.
