I've been using Outlook 2003 for years, but suddenly today every time I try to move a message to a folder Outlook tries to set up an appointment using the message. If I say I don't want to save the appointment the message disappears completely. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Sounds like the folder to which you're trying to move the message is a calendar folder. RIght-click the folder and choose Properties. Examine the "Type" field on the General tab. What does it say? I've been away, so sorry for the delay - the problem just happened again though. The type says 'Folder containing Mail and Post Items'. At the moment my workaround is to open the problem message in the appointment screen, save a copy of the message to the correct folder and then cancel out of the appointment screen saying I don't want to save. What I did notice is that when I do this something called Pocket Mirror appears in my Folders list. Any help much appreciated. Alison > Thanks for your reply.
