I am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. When I send an email with an
attachment it keeps sending it until I delete it from the Outbox. It stays
there saying it is sending while the recipient receives copy after copy of
the same message. In one case about 50 were snet within a half hour period
before I realised. It never transfers to the Sent folder.

Hi

Try checking if the same email account is set up mutliple times in outlook
by going to tools ->options->email accounts->view or change exsisting email
accounts . If that is the case highlight one of the duplicate email accounts
and click on remove or delete . If that is not the case then try creating a
new profile by following the steps below

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. If you are not in Classic view, click Switch to Classic View, and then
double-click Mail.
3. Click Show Profiles.
4. Click Prompt for a profile to be used, and then click Add.
5. In the Profile Name box, type a descriptive name for the new profile, and
then click OK.
6. Click Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.
7. Click the appropriate server type for your new e-mail account, and then
click Next.
8. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen, and then click Finish.

PS : Before opening outlook make sure the option called "Always use this
profile is selected and the profile name should be that of the new profile
that you created

If this step works to get back all your old data follow the steps in this

Thank you for your help.
I went through the steps you suggested and it worked fine. But when I went
to that link, I cannot see how to get across all the information I need from
the old profile.
I also have two email addresses set up that receive emails on Outlook. When
I set up the new profile I cannot find the other address any more.

The first thing to do is to make sure you are NOT scanning outgoing mail
with an antivirus scanner.  It's pointless anyway.  Next, lengthen the
server timeout value on the Advanced tab of your account properties
dialogue.  Finally, make sure your Send/Receive interval is no less than
about ten minutes.

I would like to know the answer as well as I have the same problem. Recipients get up to 100 emails. It seams to do the repeat send until the message is finally move from the outbox.

It appears to happen mostly when my connection to the internet is slow.

1) Disable any mail scanning feature your antivirus program has
2) Increase the server timeout value on the Advanced tab of your account
properties
3) Make sure your send/receive interval is no less than about ten minutes
