I have MS Outlook 2003 SP3, XP MediaCenter 2004.  Recently I tried to attach
a picture to an email via the paperclip icon, as I"ve done 1000 times before,
and now Outlook hangs (hourglass continues to search...).  The only way I can
get out of this is to close the outlook window, then a program not responding
message appears with a Word icon.  I do not have a problem with save as,
don't really notice any other problems with other software.  I can right
click on the picture and attach to email, that seems to work, the button
seems to be the problem.. suggestions?

I have the same problem.  I have MS Outlook 2003 SP2 running on Windows XP
Pro SP2.  I have the same symptoms.  Outlook freezes when attaching a file to
or saving a file from Outlook as soon as I begin browsing the network or
local drive.  I have to use either task manager to kill the Outlook process
or close the Outlook window.  When I close the Outlook windows I receive a
"program not responding message".
