(Sorry for the repost. Forgot to check my subject line for accuracy before
posting)

How do I completely remove Outlook 2002 from Vista since add & remove does
NOT remove all the files and folders as well as other information.

Thanks,
Dan

You can us Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to remove all Registry
entries and then you need to use Windows Explorer to delete the folders.

It does a very good job for most applications including trial versions
from Adobe which normally have time limits.

The link to download is here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Hope this helps.

I believe if you read the KB you will find it only removes reg entries
specific to the installer, for that app
If you installed from cd, use that cd to remove it

OK, I tried "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" and that didn't work. When I
reinstall Outlook 2002 to see if it removed all files and folders I find that
I still have all my emails, folders and Contacts. So obviously there are
still Outlook folders that were not deleted.

And when I insert the Outlook CD, it just opens the folder with all the
files in it but there are NO options to remove the program from the computer.
This is very frustrating. Can Microsoft make it any harder? I believe they
can and WILL!!!!!!!!!

Uninstalling never removes your data or profile. Nor should it. That's by
design and is for your protection.

Use Add./Remove programs to remove the program, delete the .pst file to
remove your Outlook items, and delete your mail profile to remove items
specific to your profile such as mail accounts and settings.

no need to uninstall to get rid of that - go to control panel, mail and
delete the profile or just make a new one.
