Outlook 2003 SP3 - Caps Lock with Plain Text Email

Outlook 2003 used to correct a name which was unintentionally typed with Caps
Lock turned ON, i.e. with initial lower case, rest upper case, and then turn
Caps Lock OFF, which was all very useful.  Now, with SP3 installed it seems
to leave the mistyped name uncorrected, but still turns Caps Lock OFF.  I
have tried this on 2 machines, and both behave the same.  Has anyone else
noticed this?  Seems like a step backwards to me - it must have deduced the
Caps Lock should not have been ON, but now does not correct the first
mis-typing.

Something is going on with Autocorrect when SP3 is installed. So far no one
is producing a fix or workaround. You are not alone.
I sent a post to Microsoft in a private newsgroup, awaiting their
response...
