Why can't I open JPEG attachments on incoming email?

I used to be able to open the pictures, but, about 2 months ago it opens up
to garbled letter/number/charactor format. How do I correct this so I can
open the pictures with mouse clicks?

Check your file types settings in Windows...what program is set to open files
of the JPEG type?

Open a Windows Explorer window (such as My Computer) and click the Tools
menu, then Folder Options. Then click the File Types tab. Be careful of
what you change in here, though.
