I am trying to configure the new 07 outlook to my comcast email account. Each
time I go to download new messages or send messages, it gives me an error of
the smtp and pop being wrong. After being on the phone with comcast for an
hour, they advised I seek help through microsoft because they cannot figure
it out. Can someone help me with my email setup?
Thanks!!
What is the error? Did you set up the mail account according to the
instructions on their website?

I did just as it said. Comcast said the new outlook does not allow for
comcast users to use it. All of the POP and SMTP information is right.
Comcast had me change the
outgoing SMTP server to 587 to see if that would work and it did not.
Everything is set up the way they say it needs to but outlook still posts the
error of SMTP and POP errors.
