Outlook is listed under my indexing options but WDS just won't search it. I
have Outlook open and all the indexing options checked under tools/options. I
have rebooted too.
did you install sp1 yet? did you delete the index and have it start indexing
again?

Yes I have SP1 and SP2 installed and I also tried rebuilding the index...
Note: for the first two days after installing WDS, I did notice that C and D
drives were not showing in the indexing options (now mysteriously there are
there without any known intervention from me)

I'm using XP and it has Service Pack 2 installed (which I assume includes any
improvements from SP1)

what about office 2007 sp1? that one just came out this week and fixes some
issues with indexing.
