I have Outlook 2003 with XP SP2.

I have a problem with Outlook.exe not closing ... sometimes.  It does not
happen everytime but at the end of the day I have to close it in Task Manager
4 or 5 times.  This started happening about 2-3 weeks ago.

I have phoned Microsoft who have done all sorts of things ... except solve
the problem.

I have removed all pda sync software.
I have removed all BlackBerry Software.
I have disabled my McAfee Anti-Virus Software.
I have removed a lot of my pst's to a folder in My Documents.
I have run scanpst.exe on all my pst's.
I have turned off automatic permanent deletion on exit of deleted emails.
I have checked the com add-in box - there's nothing listed.

Outlook works fine and fast ... it just occasionally decides not to shut
down.  I have tried to monitor those occasions when it decides not to close
but can find no apparent reason.

Exasperating!  Any help gratefully received.

Now I can definitely confirm the problem only occurs when I receive an email.
No problem if I don't Send/Receive, or if I do but recieve nothing or if I
do just to send something (providing I don't receive any email).

I would be v grateful for any assistance.

Regards

Lindsay
