Send issue with Outlook 2007

I can receive but not send.  I can do both with Outlook Express but cannot
receive with 2007

Check that the "Receive" option is ticked under Tools, Send/Receive,
Send/Receive Settings, Define Send/Receive Groups, Edit.

Yes it is checked... any other ideas?

Is your SMTP server advised by your ISP set correctly?

yes, it's set at smtp.central.cox.net
I even tried turning off NORTON

Sorry - SMTP wouldn't have help at all !!! That is to send emails.

If you run the "Test Account Settings" do you get any specific errors?

I did a search on the internet and found that I needed to check the log on to
incoming mail server before sending mail and that fixed it.... Thanks for
your assistance....
