I want to print the first page of a multi-page email message in Outlook 2007
but that option is not available in the print dialog box as it was in Outlook
Express.  Tech support says it's a "design issue"  Since I just paid $300 for
Office 2007 which includes Outlook and I had Outlook express for free, I
think it's a design issue Microsoft should fix!

I'm not looking for it to be fixed any time soon. I don’t print much so I
print to pdf and then print page 1... if you need to do it often,
www.outlookprinter.com or blueprint (http://www.savvisoft.com/)

Open the message, then in "Other Actions" choose "Open in Browser". You can
then print whichever page you want from there.

HTH

Well, since email is continuous and contains no page breaks, what would you
consider a "page"?

Open the message in your web browser (there's a "View Message in Browser"
action available) and you'll be able to print a selection or page.

i would consider a "page" exactly the same as it is considered in my web
browser following the solution you suggest. That is, one printer page.

Another feature removed.

I agree. This was a useful feature and removing it makes no sense. PLUS when
you view it in the browser, it removes all the header info, so no TO: or
Subject: fields print. Doesn't help those who need this info printed but only
want the first "page" of a many page email message.
Sigh.

I just entered "View Message in Browser" into the Outlook 2007 help file and
did not get any hits.
I do not see where the command to do this resides.
How do you open the message in the web browser as suggested?

Open the message, and in the Message tab, Actions group, click Other Actions,
toward the bottom is View in browser.

This is such a "basic" feature that MS Outlook designers ought to be sent to
a course in usability.
There are some of us over the age of 23 that actually put down our PDA's and
use paper.
With all the attention paid to printing in Excel, Powerpoint and Word, I'm
astonished at their position on printing from Outlook.
