out of office sends an old response

I have a user who sets his out of office up and it works fine except that it
not only sends the response but also sends a second response email which is
from 6 months previous. This second response is not listed in his out of
office assistant so there's no option to delete it. Anyone know of a fix to
stop this? It's outlook 2003 on XP, Exchange 2003.

If you look in the "organize" feature, does the old out of office show up there?
