In Outlook '07, when I set Editor Options to display formatting characters
(parag marks, tabs, etc.), that remains in effect only for the current
viewing of a message. When I close & reopen the message, formatting marks are
not visible. Is there a way to make this setting stick?
Thanks.

On Jan 16 you posted
In Word 2007: Office button>Word Options>Display, uncheck as appropriate
under "Always show these formatting marks.."

Does that answer your question?

Yes, I know that works in Word. My question is, when I do that in Outlook,
why does it affect only the current view of the message, and not when I
reopen the same or a different message?
