I have a continuing problem that started with Outlook 2003 and has started
again with Outlook 2007.  I am running Windows XP and when I have used
Outlook and then shut down the computer, I get the message that outlook.exe
is not responding and the shutdown hangs up.  If I go to windows task manager
and stop the outlook application, then the shut down is normal

I would start with making sure Outlook is shutdown completely first before shutting down the system.  Also make sure you do not have more then one instances of Outlook running.

Also if you are using a handheld device to synch with Outlook it may be tryng to synch completely before closing Outlook

Thank you, Francine.  Outlook is definitely not shutting down completely as
it shows up on the windows task manager.  I did find a link dealing with a
similar issue from an earlier post and it gives me a detailed list of known
compatibility issues.

Regards,

Dale
