I am currently running Outlook 2007 and ran across this problem.
Immediately after sending the email, it would shoot back with this '421
unexpected log failure' notice.
What does this problem mean and how do I go about fixing it?

Ask the ISP who you are trying to send mail via.  It is generally an SMTP
server issue.

It means there's a problem on the outgoing server.  Contact whomever manages
the outgoing server.
