I am using Windows XP and Outlook 2003.  I have been using Outlook
successfully for well over a year, but after trying to send a large
attachment, it got locked up.  (Which it has done many times in the past).
After many attempts, I managed to get the email deleted.  However, now I can
write an email, send it, but it will not leave my outbox, and hence not send
it at all.
It will say that it is preparing to send/receive, but then it will not be
sent.
I don't think that I changed any of the settings, and having looked at other
questions I have checked and the settings seem correct.  If I manually click
on send/receive I can receive emails, but the ones in my outbox will not
send.  The current one does not have an attachment, which usually
instantaneously gets sent.
Please help!  Rather desparate to get my emails sent off without having to
go through yahoo directly.

If you enable the view of the send/receive progress, are there any error
messages and/or numbers?
