Our default paragraph spacing is double-spacing following a hard return.
How do we eliminate this default and set paragraph spacing to
single-spacing?  May of our emails are arriving or being forwarded with
undesired double and quadruple spacing.  I believe due to systems that
replace the soft returns of the original message with hard returns at the
end of each line.  How do we get rid of the extra spacing?

Second, how do we get rid of the prefix characters (usually ">") in an email
quote.  We often need to copy the quote without the prefix characters.  We
sometimes also delete a portion of the quote and inadvertantly get the
prefix characters appearing at the top of the reply now being added to the
beginning of every new line also.  Isn't there a way to delete the prefix
characters, we cannot seem to select them independent of the text?
